Ingredients
- 2 medium limes
- 3 pound apples (peeled, cored and diced)
- 2 large navel oranges (peeled and chopped)
- 1 piece jalapeno chile pepper (seeded and minced)
- 0.5 medium red onion (finely chopped)
- 0.25 cup(s) cranberries (dried)
- 0.25 cup(s) seedless raisins
- 0.5 cup(s) brown sugar (packed)
- 0.25 cup(s) apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon crystallized ginger
- 2 tablespoon fresh ginger root (peeled and minced)
- 0.5 teaspoons sea salt
Directions
Prepare limes: grate 1 teaspoon peel and squeeze 2 tablespoons juice.
In a large heavy saucepan, heat lime peel, lime juice, and remaining ingredients to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Cook, uncovered, about 20 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Cover and refrigerate chutney until well-chilled, about 6 hours or up to 5 days.
